unprecedented numbers of americans have poured into the streets for months now, in the midst of a pandemic, to demand a reckoning with white supremacy once and for all. Black Lives Matter and it is time for americans to stand up now. heed the lesson of the 2016 election: this is not a shoe-in. we will need to vote in such massive numbers as to overwhelm massive corruption. not only must we #votethemout, we must vote in enough people to pass the breathe act, a bill that invests in a new vision of public safety

so many people in our industry live hand to mouth, day to day. there are no pensions and no health insurance or retirement plans for indie musicians or the people who tour with and support them. at least musicians can try to reach out to their audience online for support, but what is a guitar tech to do? what of the drum tech or the sound engineer or the road manager or driver — not to mention the promoters, the booking agents, the bartenders?

We stand in solidarity with the protests to end police violence against Black bodies and to abolish the systemic racism which oppresses Black freedom. We have heard the call to de-center white voices at this important moment for the Black Lives Matter movement. We will be postponing the Prison Music Project Sessions: Long Time Gone Album Release Concert to 6/12. All previous ticket purchases will be honored for the new date.
