Broad Street in Philadelphia is wild. People cheering out windows, honking horns, a man on a bike just yelled “Joe Biden won!” And 30 year old Alex Puhalla, a Scranton native, is literally doing back flips People are spontaneously honking, crying, and cheering with strangers, yelling “we won!”

Philadelphia Police fatally shot a 27 year old Black man this afternoon in West Philly. dozens of cops just arrived in fishtown where two crowds have been in a stand off for a couple hours after a group of men walked up and down Girard Ave carrying bats and hammers cops asked guys with bats to go home. Protesters now engaging them, asking “why were others teargassed for peacefully protesting but they could walk around with bats and be protected?”

A protest leader, Josh Yeboah, at Philly City Hall says those who gather will peacefully protest by holding a moment of silence for 8 minutes. “This is going to be a peaceful protest. We are social distancing from police officers.” Protesters here are demanding arrest of three other officers in Minneapolis and are here to “mourn George Floyd.” They’re calling for peace.
