NEW: A U.S. inspector recommended the Chinese factory at the center of last year’s tainted heart-drug recall be slapped with heavy sanctions back in 2017

Documents obtained by Bloomberg show his bosses at the U.S. FDA overrode his concerns
bloomberg.com/news/features/… The inspector discovered in May 2017 that the company, Zhejiang Huahai, found impurities in its drugs during routine quality tests but sent the drugs to the U.S. anyway. He wrote in his report to his bosses that his findings cast “a cloud of uncertainty" over those test results
