When faced with multiple stories about incidences of racism, the institution and white colleagues are FAR MORE concerned with reputational damage at a collective or individual level, than actually addressing the rampant racism being evidenced

Apparently xenofeminism is “one of the most exciting intellectual trends in contemporary feminism” and I’ve certainly experienced a number of enthused individuals excitedly recommending the XFM to me over the past few years (warning! long thread)
*DISCLAIMER*: not to say I don’t appreciate how XFM pushes for an ambitious & uncompromising vision of feminism which can contend w/ current&future challenges in the politics of technology- I was enthused when i first encountered it that others were doing things w/ cyberfeminism

Didn't think I'd be spending my part of my hols defending myself against Christoph Cox's response incl. accusations orientalism and creationism in my work, but here we go. A (long) thread:
1)Nature/culture. By framing the debate in his own terms, which insists upon the division between nature/culture Cox has ignored my Harawayan call to shift debates around "the nature of sound" to the "natureculture of sound". (p283)
