I’m sitting in the ICU because my kid just tried to end her life for the 3rd time in 2 years. Ask me if I care about banning books and pride flags. Ask me if I care about litter boxes that don’t exist at school. I just want my kid to survive long enough to graduate. That’s all. My daughter has been sleeping most of the day after a rough night of seizures and nausea. Physically, they think she is out of the woods. Obviously our next step is finding a good inpatient treatment program.

Jefferson City is a sleepy town on Tuesday nights but I signed into my driving app, knowing that I could always count on a few legislators needing a ride home from the bar. #moleg I get a ride request around 11pm, instructing me to pick up “ME” near the corner of High Street and Madison. I’m used to Uber always giving me the passenger’s first name and last initial, so I got a little uneasy.
