Listened to the Ombudsman for Children this morning @RadioBrendanRTE. To think that he met with the Min for Education months ago & that his request for a plans to be drafted for schools & exams in case of further pandemic restrictions was ignored is irresponsible & negligent. 1/ Neither the Minister nor the Department have given any indication that their actions this past year have centred on students. There seems to be no consideration for the welfare or education of young people in this country. As an educator I think this is unacceptable. 2/
