I don't know if people in the South remember, or are aware, that Aachi Masala company became known for not allowing Hindu women to wear bindis, bangles, mangalsutra and other articles of Hindi origin. They had to take these off before entering the 'haloed' company. Their founder, Padmasingh Isaac utilised the sale money to mass fund conversion activities. Also, the quality was so poor that Kerala gov banned it, saying it contained chemicals and also called it Poochi Masala. (Insect)

According to a 19th century legend, the Truth and the Lie meet one day. The Lie says to the Truth: "It's a marvellous day today"! The Truth looks up to the skies and sighs, for the day was really beautiful. They spend a lot of time together, ultimately arriving beside a well. The Lie tells the Truth: "The water is very nice, let's take a bath together!" The Truth, once again suspicious, tests the water and discovers that it indeed is very nice. They undress and start bathing. Suddenly, the Lie comes out of the water, puts on the clothes of the Truth

A fun post. Copied from a WhatsApp forward.
Yesterday I received a friend request from a young attractive guy..about 19-20 years old. I was curious.
I wanted to know why someone that young wanted to be my FB friend.
So I accepted it. Then he started sending me private messages. He called me beautiful. He asked my age. I'm not a liar so I told him and reminded him I'm quite a bit his senior. Within a short time, he asked if we could talk about 'adult things'. I said ok. Then he replied with a face like đź‘ż. He said 'thank you babe, you start..
So I did!

From a friend's whatsapp

I grew up in Bombay, not Mumbai. Or Calcutta, not Kolkata.

Regardless of the weather, our dinner time was at 8:00 PM and bed time was 10:30.
Eating out at a restaurant was a huge deal, a rarity actually, that only happened when it was a birthday or a very special occasion to celebrate.

There was no such thing as fast food on every other day, and having a bottle of soft drinks and an ice-cream from the local shop was a real treat.

Pass your final exams and you might have gotten a new set of clothes, or Bata shoes.

The donkey said to the tiger, 'The grass is blue.' Tiger said, 'No grass is green.'
Then the discussion between the two became intense. Both of them are firm in their own words. To end this controversy, both went to Lion – King of Jungle. In the middle of the animal kingdom, sitting on the throne was a lion. The donkey started yelling before the tiger could say anything. “Your Highness, the grass is blue, isn’t it?” Lion said, 'Yes! The grass is blue. '

Donkey, 'This tiger does not believe. Annoys me

"Years ago, anthropologist Margaret Mead was asked by a student what she considered to be the first sign of civilization in a culture. The student expected Mead to talk about fishhooks or clay pots or grinding stones. But no. Mead said that the first sign of civilization in an ancient culture was a femur (thighbone) that had been broken and then healed. Mead explained that in the animal kingdom, if you break your leg, you die.

We all know that Kareena Kapoor is expecting a second child.

We know that Anushka Sharma is expecting her first child and her husband, India Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli has come back from Australia to be with her.

We also know which actor wears which designer clothes. But do we care to know who was Cadet Amit Raj?

We don’t.

I don't completely blame you for this.
We all waste our news appetite on junk news which never adds any value to our society.
On 3rd of Dec, Cadet Amit Raj of Sainik School Purulia, was at his hometown Nalanda in Bihar.

I heard a very interesting analogy today,
A 10 floor building did not have a lift, so people had problem climbing up and down. Specially the elderly and the kids, so the society started exploring options. Finally they got some donkeys, who could carry people up and down. The donkey owners would charge people for carrying them up and down for a fee and would also pay 10% to the society from the revenue they earned. It was a very happy situation for all involved.

Perhaps just the tip of the iceberg? What else is in store?

We are a few devout Hindus from Ward No. 26.

We went to the Narayan Temple on Ramudulal Sarkar Street.

When we reached the temple to offer our prayers, the local TMC boys blocked us by saying – “No, in this temple in ward No. 26, no Hindu will be allowed to offer prayers.”

When we tried to reason with them, they threatened the priest of the temple with dire consequences if he entertained us.

They further said (on instructions of senior goons of TMC)very categorically
