Sounds great politically. There's only one tiny problem. Indian criminal law doesn't actually permit the withdrawal of an FIR. The promise is legally impossible in the form it is being advertised.

The right to vote comes from Article 326 of the Constitution of India. It provides for universal adult suffrage. But crucially, it is NOT placed in Part III (Fundamental Rights) Chapter.

This was a conscious decision.
