A lawsuit was filed by a school teacher against her former employer Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion Elementary School in Queens, NY. According to the complaint, plaintiff observed a substitute teacher molesting students and reported it to her employer, only to be called a liar and fired. ImageImageImageImage The lawyer for the school Rabbi Ribacoff instructed plaintiff to report the alleged abuse to the principal, Ephraim Ben Mordechai. Nothing was done, so she went to English Principal Rabbi Avraham Fridman. None of the three individuals reported the incident to police. ImageImageImageImage

As someone who attended NCSY from 2008-2012 when supposedly the organization had “cleaned up” all of their policies, I can tell you that your second point is, unfortunately, very much not true. I experienced threats and verbal harassment as a CHILD by then NCSY NJ director Ethan Katz. Favoritism and brown-nosing the adults to get recognition or on regional board was the MO, which is very much what Lanner fostered.

Years before the CVA lawsuit was filed, Jane Doe tried warning Rabbi Wallerstein about the abuse she experienced at the hands of Chevi Garfinkel. At the time, Garfinkel was employed @OhrNaavaEvents . Wallerstein never took action regarding the matter, despite saying he would.
