Tech Burner's Smartwatch ANARC by Layers is here,

And we did something interesting.

We built UNREAL hype for the watch via Neel's Instagram and YouTube (Co- founder, Layers).

Our journey started with just 10k followers.

We had a unique problem statement.

And within just 1 year, we scaled it to:

27 Million+ Total Organic Views
120K+ Followers

And a lovely community.

Here's how did we scale the accounts and prepared for Layers:

(1/n)Image 1. The fundamentals:

We started working on Neel's profile last year.

The vision was to establish him as the godfather of creators.

The man who can guide creators for their problems.

This was a gap in the market. No one was doing it.

We identified it.

Interestingly enough,

The first reel itself we posted got 1 Million+ views.

However, it was not around Creators.

-2 Videos 20 Million+
-Never focused on "Hashtags"
-No "SEO"
-Never "Engaged" within 1 hour of posting
-Client spent only 1 day in a month for shoot

So what did I do?

A lot of Brands come to YouTube,

But they FAIL miserably.

Why?

What goes wrong?

What is the right approach?

Here's the answer:

(6th tweet is a major one)

(1/n) 1. Thinking Product first:

Brands are just too desperate to promote their product.

When you're playing the content game,

Your goal should be to think VALUE first.

If you provide enough value, people would get your product.

Why does Low Effort Content Go Viral?

Why doesn't the Algorithm push high effort content?

Here's the HARSH Truth:

(This will change the way you see YouTube)

(I have a Surprise for you all at the end)

(1/n) Image The major problem is that people think:

Low Effort = Bad content.

Which is not necessarily the case.

A video can be extremely low effort but still amazing.

Why?

We started this YouTube Channel 1 week back.

Posted only 1 long form Video.

And got:

-43K Impressions
-16.2% Average CTR on the 7th day
-8.8K Views and counting.

Here's what did I do:

(8th tweet can be an eye opener for you)

(1/n) Image 1. Speak what people want to, but can't:

This video is on someone people hate a lot,

But they are afraid to talk about him.

We did - and the idea worked.

Lesson:

Be the voice people want.

Look at this thrilling YouTube Channel:

1 Video
1.4M Views
34.5K Subscribers

Luck or Strategy?

And is this virality good for the creator?

Let's find out:

(The Answer is not what you think)

(1/n) Image 1. Video idea:

What is the fundamental factor behind making a video successful?

Thumbnail?
Editing?
Title?

Nah.

It's the video idea.

Infact, I spend a lot of time with my clients in just figuring out the best video idea possible.

But why is this idea so good?

YouTubers, here's a question for you all:

Why did the 3rd video get more views than the others?

Pause, think, and then read:

(If you get this, you can make some really banger videos)

(1/n) Image And the answer is

Contrast.

Basically, combining two extremes.

Because whenever you combine two extremes, it becomes interesting.

For example,

A video on "Man who Killed 100 People" is good,

But a video on "5 Year Old who killed 100 People" is better.

Why?

If you're a YouTuber,

And still not using the Community tab in the RIGHT way,

You're losing out on a lot.

But what really is the right way to use it?

(1/n) Image See the problem, unfortunately, is that most YouTubers either see the community tab as a "Reach" tool and post polls,

Or just treat it as a mere formality and post randomly.

And that's not how it should be.

Polls and posts are great,

But think this way:

Started an experimental YouTube channel a few days back.

-7 Videos
-23K views
-Original Content (No Clips)
-No Fancy Branding (not even a good DP)
-No high quality equipment
-No fancy editing (you would hate this editing)

PURE CONTENT.

Here's what did I do:

(1/n) 1. Understanding the Audience.

Understand your audience to an extent that you become their best friend.

I directly hit their pain points.

Shared their emotions.

Became their voice.

Became their representative.

This is the BIGGEST YouTube Lesson for you today:

Channel 1 (@mohakmangal) has 2M Subscribers.

Channel 2 (@nitishrajpute) has 1.6M Subscribers.

They both released a video on the same topic, at the same time.

Channel 1 gets 633k views.
Channel 2 gets 1.6M views.

WHY?

I HATE how easily Indians pirate products even if they can EASILY afford them.

Want to watch a show? Use Telegram.

Want to read a book? Download the free pdf.

Don't want to see ads? Use an Ad Blocker.

Want a course? Download it illegally.

But WHY does this happen?

(1/n) Firstly, here's the context:

I was talking to a friend who was not ready to purchase YouTube premium because "It's expensive".

FYI, YouTube premium in India costs 130 Rupees, which is less than $2.

Now back to the point - WHY do people pirate things with ZERO regrets?

There are some videos on YouTube that are good.

There are some videos that are great.

And then there's this video.

A video that'll CHANGE a lot for YouTubers.

A video that has become my favourite.

A video that has broken rules for good.

Here's how:

(1/n) Image 1. The Idea:

This video is not about giving away $1 Million.

Neither about creating or destroying something unique.

This is a NEW idea.

And honestly,

It might have failed.

But he still did it.

Because you NEED TO CHANGE.

How much of YouTube Success is Luck?

(1/n) 7 years ago,

I used to think it's all about luck.

100%.

But as I dive deep into YouTube everyday,

Study it like a subject,

This percentage keeps on falling.

So how much of it is Luck according to me?

If you're a YouTuber/Video Editor, Stay away from this MISTAKE:

(It's one of the reasons why your retention graph burns slowly)

(1/n) Image 90% of the YouTube videos I see start great,

But become very low on energy towards the end.

As a YouTuber/Video Editor,

You need to make sure that you MAINTAIN engagement throughout the video,

And not just in the first few minutes.

But how to do that?

2023 is here,

And Indian YouTube is changing EVERYDAY.

But what's changing this year?

As someone who has spent years working on YouTube,

Here's my take on the Future of YouTube India in 2023:

(1/n) 1. More Niches:

India would witness more niches.

More specific niches.

Real professionals like Doctors, lawyers, etc. would come out and make videos.

Specific niches like SMMA, AI, etc. would blow up.

There are a Lot of Indian YouTubers who are making videos like MrBeast, Airrack and others.

And while I really appreciate their efforts,

There's a big PROBLEM with them:

(1/n) And the problem is that currently,

Almost all the videos look TOO fake.

Too artificial.

Too much "trying" to be like MrBeast/Airrack.

From effects to speaking style to personality - literally everything is being copied.

The point is...

If your YouTube Channel is stuck,

You need to go back to the basics.

Just ask these very simple, but SUPER important questions to yourself:

(1/n) 1. Do I even know who my audience is?

Can I write a description about them?

If not,

You need to rethink your Strategy.
