In a move that smacks of callow desperation, the Trump Administration reportedly discussed testing a nuclear weapon to scare China to the negotiating table. This is criminal stupidity bordering on malevolence.

If we go down this road, it would likely set off a cascade of nuclear tests around the world landing us right back in an arms race we were lucky to survive the first time.
