What have been recent updates with the Arweave distribution layer, and how has ATOR distribution been optimized? A protocol thread
🧵 2/
Our own implementation of a Smartweave DRE node has been completed, with the ability to deploy to live / stage and dev phases. We are now able to integrate the state from the DRE node directly within the validator, allowing us to efficiently amalgamate distributions.

In his opening, @anonmorpho highlighted our community, 25k holders across exchanges that have already shown incredible passion in contributing to our network. This has lead to considerable institutional interest, and we are being highly selective with who we work with.

🔹ATOR Requirements for Relay Registration
Another sneak peek into our protocol tokenomics👇
1/🧵 Image 2/7 To register a relay, potential operators are required to lock a fixed amount of $ATOR - currently set to 100 ATOR - for a fixed period in a registration lock contract. ATOR must be locked separately for each relay registered, including relay families.

🔹Source-of-Funds for ATOR Relay Recognition Pool - a sneak peek into new tokenomics

In a mission to enhance decentralisation of the ATOR reward pool, we're making some important changes.

1/🧵 2/9 We are switching the source of tokens for the 10% recognition reward pool away from the 2-year vested contract, and filling the reward pool far sooner!

🔹ATOR Token Utility Part 1

Why not use ETH or BTC for rewards?

Let’s break it down!👇

1/🧵 2/10 By issuing a novel token with a percentage pre-allocated for relay rewards, we guarantee a baseline level of rewards for relays indefinitely. This encourages more adoption by operators without needing reward pools to be continuously filled.

🔹 ATOR's Mission & the Importance of Privacy:

Let's deep dive👇

1/🧵 Image 2/8 ATOR's mission is rooted in providing relays for robust privacy to internet users worldwide. In an era where personal data is a commodity, our aim is to give relay control back to the individual, ensuring a decentralized, safer, more private digital ecosystem.

🔹 Low-tax mode for DEX trades on @Uniswap

Here’s a quick update🧵 As planned, we will be progressing to a low-tax mode for DEX trades on Uniswap. This change is designed to ensure self-strengthening liquidity on the ATOR/WETH pair, and support our growth efforts. Token transfers, activity on CEXs and the protocol itself will not be impacted.

🔹ATOR's Live Runtime Environment and Future Roadmap

Here’s a quick update👇

1/🧵 Image 2/4 Last week marked the launch of ATOR's live runtime environment. Since then, all relay verifications have been carried out by our gassless validator, significantly improving our verification efficiency.

🔹Net Neutrality

Dive into the importance of Net Neutrality👇

1/🧵 2/8 Net neutrality is the principle that all internet traffic should be treated equally, regardless of its source, destination, or content. Let's explore why preserving net neutrality is vital for a fair, open, and democratic internet.

🔹Onboarding Incentives

Learn how we're encouraging Node
Registration.👇

1/🧵 Image 2/4 The #ATOR reward function creates a positive reinforcement cycle that encourages existing onion router relays to register with the ATOR protocol. By offering rewards in ATOR tokens, operators can cover their upkeep costs and even profit from their participation.

🔹ATOR Recognition

Learn how we’re boosting network growth via our recognition rewards for contribution.

1/🧵 Image 2/4 ATOR Rewards are designed to promote the growth and adoption of the #ATOR protocol by offering incentives for existing relays to join the network.

By rewarding based on a node's uptime, ATOR encourages operators to maintain high availability.
