Let's go over those numbers for Auschwitz. Wikipedia says 1.1 million total, 960,000 Jews. In 1961 Raul Hilberg said 1,000,000. Russia published the official camp records in 1989 with 69,000 total, 29,000 of whom were Jews. Incidentally more Catholics died than Jews. The total count for 13 camps was 271,301 in 1979 and 282,000 for 16 camps in 1984. Since 1993 no further totals have been published. Image
