Because it's a Sunday..

10+ yrs of building WebEngage
5+ yrs of engineering at Burrp

I have learnt a few things from my own mistakes and by observing others make some. If this thread materially helps even one founder, it'd be worth the effort.

How not to run your startup 👇 "I don't want to work for anyone"

If that's why you are starting up, you should quit right away. You will eventually realize that if you want to build anything large and enduring, nobody worth their salt wants to work with a person like that.

Sharing this because SaaS is💙 and we are better together🙏 Some context setting first ..

We have inside sales driven approach to customer acquisition.

Are you too homely an environment for your team?

I have seen most first time entrepreneurs unknowingly making this mistake. Depending on what kind of business you are in, this may make or break your future. Sharing my learning and evolution on this rather touchy topic 👇 (1/12) WebEngage is 7 years old. My journey with startups is now at 12+ years. I learnt what I saw.

I saw very small teams (2-10 in size). Very closely knit. In most cases, folks had no life outside of work. This made it a perfect environment to put ideas to life very quickly (2/12)
