1. I've been thinking a lot about the logic behind the Hamas terror attack and I'm struggling to connect the dots. 2. This attack was so far beyond any previous Hamas terror, so evil and brazen, they had to know that Israel would become even more united and be forced to declare war with the sole purpose of completely removing them.

Elites Need a Lesson in Humility discoursemagazine.com/politics/2023/… 1. When I joined the Navy as a new officer with a New England university engineering degree, I thought I was hot shit and the intellectual better than the enlisted sailors working for me, a 22 year old Ensign.

1. The protest at the Capitol on J6 turned into a riot with the explicit intent of disrupting the proceedings of Congress. The protest is fine, the riot is where it becomes a problem for everyone who stuck around and continued with the disruption. 2. The riot turned violent in and the Left/ media's outrage reaction was in stark contrast to previous violent riots that they explained & excused. None the less, violence must be prosecuted regardless of the "nobility of the cause" or the political tribe of the criminals.

Musings from my visit to Napa this week. No pictures (sorry) sine they’ll likely show up on my wife’s FB feed. The goal of this visit was to go to OG places that we never hit before. Bistro Don Giovanni. Passed this place a hundred times but never stopped there. That was a mistake since the vibe, food & service were wonderful. Notable Caesar salad and scallop risotto.

1. The reaction to C19 wasn't always or even frequently driven by science or caution. It was often driven by politics and payback. People were hurt physically, financially, & emotionally and when they tried to pushback, they were demonized, attacked, & punished. 2. If it was only tough decisions made w/o enough information, then I’d be open to forgiveness, but it wasn’t. It was a coordinated attack to lock in political policies. Recall Chicago, Minnesota & LA teachers’ unions striking for increased pay and benefits under the guise of C19

1. Exactly 20 years ago today, I lost my Grandfather. Image 2. He worked on his father's ice delivery truck in the 20's & 30's delivering ice in the Boston area. He confided to me that he would also "deliver" to several hot housewives on the route from time to time (this was before he was married).

1. I'm a conservative & believe in core conservative tenets & policies. However, conservative media & political class have done a shitty job selling, explaining, convincing voters why conservatism is better since Reagan. 2. If Republicans have any hope of regaining control, or just enough power to block the accelerating push to the Left by progressives, the GOP tent must grow. If that means pausing part of the conservative agenda, then so be it, it’s better than unfettered progressivism

1. There are literally zero NFL team names that can pass this test. Lets take a look shall we 2. Arizona Cardinals. I know it's the bird but the association to the Catholic Church is basically an endorsement of pedophilia.

Good Lord, what a bunch of weak-ass losers our media are.

Everyone had a hard year.
Everyone wore masks & washed their hands
Everyone battled isolation & fear.

What the hell makes you think that your lives were somehow harder than the rest of us?
1/x None of you worked as hard or as in much danger as doctors, nurses & first responders.

1. I didn't see the whole debate but, from what I did see:
- Biden repeatedly used the flimsy or debunked anonymously sourced rumors as facts without any pushback from Wallace
- Biden's lack of condemnation of Antifa was clear whereas Trump did condemn WS 2. Biden repeatedly avoided taking stances against extreme LW policies (nuke filibuster / pack SCOTUS)

3. Both Trump & Biden used petty insults and took over the top umbrage at the other's comments

1. Some thoughts on Kenosha shootings 2. First off, same on the local & state authorities for not taking bolder action to quell the rioting. Between the media pushing the narrative & the gov. doing little to stop it and, after the first night, the Governor's inexcusably weak response opened the door to more violence.

Some thoughts on COVID-19

1. Trump says a lot of stupid shit

2. COVID-19 and it's initial deadly spread are 100% due to the policies & dishonesty of China

3. China's actions & cover-ups expose the risks of economic dependence the US and many countries have with that country 4. The WHO and other corrupt international organizations are run by the same criminals that these organizations were intended to protect us from. Any future appeals to their authority will fall on deaf or highly skeptical ears.

Shameful admission: I’m in the Costco parking lot waiting for the doors to open (in about 2 hours) so I can join in on the TP panic. There are only about five other cars here now but, we’re all waiting in our cars to stay warm & dry.

1. Some thoughts on Trump and his treatment by the Left / in the media 2. First some disclaimers:
- I am a partisan / bias conservative
- I don’t like, didn’t support nor vote for Trump
- But, I’m in CA so non-Dem votes are irrelevant. Thus, I never had to really make a voting decision on Trump

@mrushton78 @MartinWellbour1 1. After decades of hyperbole, I'm still at a loss as to exactly what laws the Democrats want to address gun violence. In nearly every mass shooting, guns were acquired legally and nothing I've heard proposed would have stopped it. @mrushton78 @MartinWellbour1 2. The US has far more liberty than other countries and that gives people with bad intentions a lot more latitude to do these things. Are you willing to give up liberty for tighter gun laws?

We live in the age of gaslighting
- The Betsy Ross flag is racist
- Tanks in DC are unusual
- Detention facilities are 'concentration camps'
- Gay, Asian reporters are Nazis

Where does it end? Meanwhile, here's Obama standing under huge Betsy Ross flags. Was it racist then?

Time for a sea story
1/x When I was the Operations Officer on a US Navy destroyer in the late 90's. It was by far, the hardest job I've ever had. Standing 6hrs on watch / 6hrs off for weeks on end. During my "off watch" time running a department of 100 sailors, managing the ship's schedule...
