To start with the obvious, it was disappointing for BJP to end about 50 seats short of the plan. A century ago, ancient Indian history was unknown. Then a major discovery was made in deserted areas in western cities of Harappa and Mohenjo-daro that pushed the dating to 4000 years ago.
The recent excavations once again could change the direction of Indian history. A thread. The initial sites discovered were the part of India what is currently Pakistan. However, as the new Indian republic started putting effort on archeology, this Harappan culture was found across the Indus river area. In 1987 India had zero Chess Grandmasters. For a nation that created the game, it was a nobody in that game. Then Vishy Anand broke the barriers to become the first Grandmaster from India. On tech Twitter there is often a backlash against colleges. Almost always it is from white elites. How many people from non-elite backgrounds hate the concept of a college? During the course of the test match i interacted with 1000s of fans in social media. Here is my observation of the Indian attitude.

1. We value victory much lesser than the defeat. Everyone talked about what if we lose, but very little was talked about -- what if we win? 1/10 2. We can visualise losing and can see the pain, but find it hard to visualise victory and see the pleasure. Thus pain avoidance guides us more than pleasure seeking. 2/10
