Just popping back on here to share a quick HMD thread, about the Dentist of Auschwitz.
My father was a dentist, and in 1995 had a elderly patient on whose left arm he noticed a tell-tale tattoo removal scar. He asked her about her story, and was shocked in what he heard.

She was, of course an Auschwitz survivor, and mentioned that one of her fillings had been done there. This shocked my father, whose only knowledge of dentistry in the camps was of the extraction of gold teeth from the bodies of the murdered.
