In June my Labour Party LGBT Officer posted a video on a party platform condemning the Party position on GRA reform based on a headline in The Times “Labour stands back from gender debate”. The officer claimed this put them+the trans community at risk of abuse,assault,deteriorating mental health,suicide and being a 2nd class citizen. There was no consultation about this. I wrote to the Secretary and asked for an urgent,respectful,debate to be held on women’s rights.
