Hi #rstats what publication options exist for highly specific functions that may still be quite useful to someone else doing the same task? I've been looking at MethodsX and JOSS for example but have by no means decided... in the course of doing an analysis for an ecology project I've invested considerable effort into two functions for quite different task. I have Rmd appendices to my manuscript that detail how I've used these functions but I know the supplementary materials are rarely reviewed...
