BREAKING: The New York Senate just passed the #NYVRA. The bill would restore many of the vital legal protections against racial discrimination in voting that have been stripped away by SCOTUS. The State Assembly and Gov. Hochul now must act without delay. 1/6 The #NYVRA would give New York the strongest protections against voting discrimination in the country. It is urgently needed. The state’s voters of color continue to face disproportionate barriers to voting compared to white voters. 2/6
