I’ve noticed some non-transsexual non-binary people with terrible dysphoria perpetually convince themselves out of HRT because they’re like “hormones are serious, what if I don’t like the changes??” but it’s like…you’re already on hormones babe and you hate them!! 😭 The reason many of us transition is because our hormone profiles continue to change us as we age, and it can make any of the dysphoria we already had get worse until we can’t tolerate it! You don’t have to medically transition to be trans, but…

Turns out the random doctor I got for the virtual visit last week bc my primary care was over a month out prescribed me a serious high blood pressure meds w/o testing that would’ve made my episode catastrophically worse bc I had extremely low blood pressure—live laugh loving it Which also means I probably don’t have POTs and have some other fun dysautonomia related disorder that is harder to figure out lol

Fun fact: we as medically transitioning trans women actually on average have lower testosterone than cis women bc it’s seen as the “bad male hormone” in us that needs to be totally suppressed, often to the detriment of our own health! Everyone produces different levels of hormones and normative male and female ranges that are artificially constructed, which is why they end up being deeply racist and inevitably show some cis women as naturally being outside of “proper” female ranges

To “defend” trans care is always to further prop up what is already an extremely privileged and gatekept system that keeps countless trans people from access—they’re going to say we’re evil no matter how it actually works so why not fight for something that’s actually liberatory? Instead of arguing just trans kids have access to blockers to avoid traumatic puberty, we say all kids should be on blockers until they’re “sure” they’re cis or trans. Or we just let trans kids go through the puberty they want at the same time as their peers.

Love when a prominent transmasc journalist defends Chappelle as “brilliant and radical” and “next-level trans accepting”. I wonder why it is they find humor that’s mostly based around disgust and fetishization of trans women so radical? 🤨 hmmmmmm, interesting 🧐🧐🧐

Baeddels - a small group of separatist transfems who reclaimed ye olde transmisogynistic slur but have barely had a real presence in a decade—now taken up as a thing for a group of people to dismiss any trans woman who talks about transmisogyny by transmascs as hateful radicals. According to this definition, any transfem who talks about the fact transmascs (alongside all other transmisogyny exempt ppl) benefit from transmisogyny, you are a Baeddel! So basically for them, any transfem that understands how transmisogyny actually works is a Baeddel 🤔

I’ve never met a trans person who doesn’t like people just because they have quote in quote “detransitioned”—we just don’t like the handful that loudly align themselves with movements that hate us to try to deny us the care they got to consensually access. I strongly believe it is much more horrific for someone to non-consensually go through the wrong puberty than to consensually choose to—it is actually good to have a society where people have bodily autonomy and to be able to make choices they could regret.
