I wrote this piece following the attack by Cathy Brennan in June 2019. Prior to the event, he was intimidating the organisers and demanding to be a speaker. He was deemed a pain in the arse by security, but not a threat. Brennan is clearly a danger to women. He has
threatened to sue me (and publications) for writing about him, demanding I change the word "attack" to something more benign. Fuck him. When police arrested him they called him "she" to me. I kept referring to him correctly. I was admonished by them. I kept the emails.
