@yasharrorra @theChrisDo @darwindsgns Developing your skills and choosing a business strategy are two different things. When you go for full self-employment from day one there is overlap and potential conflict between the two.

Ideally, someone else pays for your development (breadth). That means a job...

@yasharrorra @theChrisDo @darwindsgns Generalist sweat shops can be great places to learn. You do everything. Or you can serially work for firms of different specialisms. Harder to do.

Ideally, you launch your firm at that point where you have explored breadth and know where you want to go deep.

I have a story that beautifully illustrates how to disrupt the buying process.

A thread for each follows... On Hearing No (the 1st thread)

No is the second best answer we can hear. It is far preferable to Maybe or We’ll get back to you.

Of the many valuable things I learned in Strategic Coach, none was more valuable than this...

Time off, for an entrepreneur, is not a reward for hard work. It’s recharge time required for the creativity and energy needed to do your job. Prioritize it ahead of *everything* else. 2/ The 100-Day Sprint begins on Sept 3 (the day after Labour Day in North America). It is the most vital 100 business days of the year. If you go into this sprint tired, you will limp to the finish line and not plan proactively for next year.

Apologies in advance for breaking the Internet but I have finally arrived at my Unified Theory of Everything. It is a story. Or stories. (thread) 1/ Stories are the substrate of the universe. As our knowledge of the mechanics of things increases and we continue to parse the units of matter previously thought to be indivisible (atom, quark, etc.) we ultimately have to conclude there is no there there.
