I've thought about this a lot. Like, since I was a child.

And I've come to the conclusion that there is simply nothing heterosexual about Christ. Like, there is not a single heterosexual explanation for a single thing about him. I mean, the Abrahamic religions in general are kind of fruity, but Christianity especially, like. You out here thinking about a sky father while you do EVERYTHING?

I'm sorry, that's gay.

Sorry, I know it's rather futile to express this, but it actually makes me feel insane that Mike Pence signed that bomb with a warm message of support knowing that hours later it would be used to kill children. Like, I'm sorry, but I feel totally deranged by that image. To be clear, it is not surprise. Nothing about that is inconsistent with America's ongoing stance or actions, but there is just something so arresting about the image. And he knows what they will be used for. Indeed, that knowledge is the very thing that makes him want to sign it

I don't usually make my body things other people's problem and I actually have largely neutral feelings about my body which is a miracle considering how this world hates fat people, but the way y'all are so casually cruel and vicious about ozempic is kinda fucking me up, lol I don't know if you guys realize this, but you have developed a really bad fatphobic idiom around ozempic that somehow lets you degrade people for taking it in a way that's still calling them fat, it's weird.

One of the wildest things about bedbugs their relatively high rate of genetic mutation makes them able to withstand the negative effects of inbreeding, which is why their infestations get so bad so quickly. I guess it's not actually clear how they maintain enough genetic diversity to avoid the deleterious effects of the inbreeding. So we know for sure they are mate with their siblings and parents, but we don't know how they can do that for five generations without going Habsburg up.

I was supposed to start a medication one month ago that I still have not taken because of nothing to do with me and everything to do with someone else’s mistake and the cost out of pocket should I choose to take it upon myself is one thousand American dollars for 4 doses. It took a month just to get a prescription my insurance would fill, okay, but they sent it to a pharmacy I’ve never heard of and now they’re trying to say “sorry, we’ve already filled it this month, try again in July for your next dose” bestie, what is going on.

I find it so curious that people mention that Neely is a victim, but then go on to say, he isn't THE ONLY VICTIM in this situation.

It's a rhetorical move that keeps happening and I wish people would sit with why they feel the need to do it. Image And then you spend the article talking about how if he had been incarcerated, it could have saved his life. Image

Okay, but you can't just murder someone on the subway. Am I bugging? Like??? Image Although this whole saga has been yet another illustration that in the American moral calculus, the purpose of criminality is to create social death and also actual physical death.

Just saw someone call the Pope woke if you were wondering what stage of language losing all meaning we were currently in. Like, which part of the Pope are we talking. Like, the temporal part or the spiritual part.

Kathleen Tillotson, a new fave of mine, writing in 1955 about the 1840s and also now Image The person who had this book before me was very interested in gender so I might have to get a different copy because I don’t know if I can live with the little Venus signs drawn into every margin every time a woman comes up, lol

God getting bothered because his disaster twunk ex flirted with someone else and throwing humanity out of the garden of Eden is so funny to me but I get it. He really was like “my love is vast but you gotta get the fuck out. Enjoy the pain and torment. But I’m not mad. Haha. It’s fine. But when are you leaving.”

For...reasons, I am reading about the caning of Sumner, and wowee. They HATED him.

We learned about it in school, but the teachers made it seem it like he gave him a little tap or something. Not beat the man bloody and unconscious in this country's halls of power, lol. It's too bad that America fundamentally is too afraid of facing the horrors of slavery and The Civil War because we could get some really good period dramas out of the 19th century, lol, so instead we get Great Plains cowboy cosplay.

Open book exams are harder if you don’t study, lol. I am not certain that the pass rate for open book is significantly higher. Consensus a decade ago was that open book had more fails. But I don’t know what those data look like today. Image Open book exams vs closed book is like comparing an iron man to a marathon, lol.
