Blur Season 3 is ending on June 26 at 10AM EST, 10PM HKT, 4PM CET.

Season 3 participants will receive $BLAST from the Blast Foundation.

After speaking with traders, collectors, and creators, we’re updating our royalty policy. Blur will enforce a minimum royalty on immutable collections. We are also airdropping $BLUR to creators of collections that trade on Blur (snapshot complete). In November, Blur adopted the filter registry and started enforcing royalties on collections that used it. At the same time we continued to incentivize royalties on existing/immutable collections that were not able to use the filter registry.

Airdrop 2 has been recalculated! We fixed the wash trading filters that affected legitimate traders. We also updated package counts to reflect that Airdrop 2 recipients will receive 10x more $BLUR than Airdrop 1.

The claim period has been extended to Jan 3 for all recipients. Airdrop 2 had wash trading filters that penalized some legitimate traders. It also wasn't clear what exactly was meant when we said Airdrop 2 would be 10x bigger than Airdrop 1. This update addresses both issues. Learn more in the article below. mirror.xyz/blurdao.eth/CE…

Blur adopted the filter registry last month, but the current OS policy makes creators choose between earning revenue on OS or Blur, but not both. This policy is not always enforced. Pirate Nation has been earning royalties on both platforms and has earned more from Blur than OS. Valhalla wasn’t able to take advantage of Blur adopting the registry because OS removed their royalties when they whitelisted Blur (reflected on-chain). Creators who use the registry should be able to earn revenue from all platforms rather than being limited to one or the other

@keung Thanks for your thoughtful comments @keung. Reading through your thread now — we'll follow up by eod. @keung Our policy is to make a best effort to refund users when there are platform bugs. When there are user errors, we improve the UI to reduce them but we don’t issue refunds (ie showing a warning when a bid is higher than normal is considered a ui improvement for user errors).

Blur will enforce royalties on permissioned NFTs. We will continue to incentivize royalties on all NFTs while taking 0% marketplace fees ourselves. For context, OpenSea announced last week that they would turn off royalties on new collections that don't block optional royalty marketplaces.
