Jokes aside, back then when I was in yeshiva, the rabbis used to be reluctant to discuss "Tarbut Yunan" (Greek culture), & spoke disparagingly of "Aristos" (Aristotle, and they were right!), but also said the only real contribution of Greeks to the human soul was in fact sports.
Then there's also that story as to how technically Greek is the only language other than Hebrew in which a Torah scroll can be read? But this applied only to the Septuagint & guess not seen except in 2nd century BC? This is according to Maimonides, Hilchot Sefer Torah 1:19

This article is so grandiose, so epic, so absolutely stunning in its untruth, that it needs to be translated as a case study of what not to say. yenisafak.com/yazarlar/yusuf… "Archaeological imperialism is erasing the traces of Islam from these lands, but we are still sleeping!"
"Archeology is the shortest way to make history without war. Distorting and rewriting history... imposing history on others..." "Whoever masters archeology will also dominate the world: He writes history; He sells the history he wrote to the world as "this is the truth"."
