The U.S. military deployment near Venezuela has become even less popular in the past month — YouGov survey

Only 15% of U.S. citizens would support an invasion of Venezuela. A majority would oppose. Despite being submerged in a sea of propaganda, only 18% of U.S. citizens would support the U.S. using military force to coup President Nicolás Maduro.

Only 19% of U.S. citizens would support the U.S. military attacking land targets in Venezuela.

FULL REPORT: Colombian public media reports that a U.S. military strike on a boat on September 15—the second attack on a vessel by the U.S. in the Caribbean that we’re aware of—was a Colombian boat and was in Colombian territorial waters.

At least one of the three victims extrajudicially killed in the strike was Colombian lifelong fisherman Alejandro Carranza. Alejandro’s identity is confirmed by his cousin.

The Colombian boat was adrift and had its distress signal up due to an engine failure. According to Captain Leonardo Vega, instructor and fishing companion of murdered fisherman Alejandro Carranza, the video clearly shows that the boat was adrift, with one engine raised:

“For us, that means it is damaged and in a state of emergency, which, according to international law, means that if a boat is in a state of emergency and adrift, it is necessary to go to its aid and help it.”

The hostile situation in Bolivia further complicates things for Bolivia's friends/allies, who maintain a good relationship with both the Bolivian government and the MAS, led by Evo. They've spent over a year observing closely, walking on eggshells, urging international mediation. The enemy of the Bolivian people is carrying out plots to kill Evo. It's far past the point where it's acceptable to both sides the situation. La Paz hasn't provided an explanation for how it is that police and military facilities were utilized by hitmen and escape helicopters.

Socialism is not on the ballot in Brazil. Most Brazilians aren’t seeking socialism, they simply wouldn’t support it if it were on the ballot, and a large section of the population is demonstrably anti-communist. The term imperialism doesn’t even appear in this campaign. In Latin America, populations are not electing new socialist governments. Outside of four countries, the majorities are not demanding socialism. The common demand is for economic policies to immediately improve living conditions — and not a project of deep structural changes.
