One of my favorite stories in regards to #MLK and his connection to Cincinnati: MLK made a handful of visits to Cincinnati to speak. 1/5 On 10/24/1964, MLK was to take a motorcade from Zion Baptist Church on Glenwood Ave to Parktown Playground at Linn and Liberty St. for a rally/speech. 2/5

A Crosley Christmas: A Thread by Cam Miller
It will started when I uncovered this old brass plate and socket in floor when I restored floor this past fall. It is a few feet from the fireplace and it got me thinking. 1/8 Image An old socket like this next to the fireplace? It had to be for a radio. I imagined Dad reading the Times Star and the family gathered around listening to updates on the war, tuning in to Reds games, or blasting Christmas music and dancing the night away. It gave me an idea. 2/8

Wiffleball: A thread. So I was talking to a friend abt Wiffleball the other day and he said he and his family used to play when they got together every summer. "That's cute," I chuckled. "I was pres/commissioner/player/mgr in the NWL (National Wiffleball League)." @WIFFLEballinc You see, Wiffleball became not just something to do in between little league games, but a lifestyle. From 1985-1991, it was serious business. We even had contracts like this example from 1990.
