Evidently, our very own Larry, Moe, and Curly at the NIH have been up to their routine for a long time. @R_H_Ebright pointed this out before, how maybe NIH took over where DOD couldn’t go.

UNC’s Baric’s lab uses “humanized mice.” They add human fetal lung parts into the backs of the mice, make novel bat viruses, & get them to stick in the mice w/ inserted human lungs. Older humanized mice get sicker.
2/ Dr. Rocke works for USGS's National Wildlife Health Center (NWHC) & she's on the $14 mil DARPA grant proposal published by DRASTIC. The proposal details Dr. Rocke's role & states they will be "Using locally acquired insectivorous bats" & "will use the NWHC captive bat colony"
