I have been silent for some time about the current crisis in the US.

I was lacking words to express my feelings and I needed to learn more about white privilege before I voice a public opinion.

As researchers I believe our responsibility in the current situation is to educate people on logical fallacies.

I see so many conspiracy theories online and I am starting to worry that people will believe them.

So, I'll start with my most important fallacy:

A hypothesis needs to be falsifiable - there needs to be a way to, in theory, proof a hypothesis wrong

E.g. I don't think that Bill Gates is the mastermind behind #COVID19

If the response is that I only say that because I am brainwashed, this is a non-falsifiable statement 2/
