Just some thoughts as we head into the new week with both SAG and WGA on the lines together. Mostly some cheerleading for those brave SAG volunteers who signed up to be captains. SAG-AFTRA members, please bear with your captains as they get their bearings. SAG-AFTRA Captains, please bear with your members as they turn to you with questions.

You may not have all the answers for them. That's okay. I didn't have answers for everyone right away either.

For the morning crowd… if you’re new to the picket lines please look to the WGA Captains and Lot Coordinators for guidance. We’ve been out here a while and we’ve earned a lot of hard won lessons.

We’re to help, but we aren’t your bosses or overbearing father. Work with us. 1/? There are a number of regulations, rules, and norms (and they vary by lot) that you may not know at first.

THAT IS OKAY! Coming out to the picket can be overwhelming and confusing. WGA captains wear hats and/or vests and can tell you where you’re needed, where to find water-

Just a #WGAStrong PSA and some food for thought from your friendly neighborhood Captain & lot coordinator.

The theme days/meet ups/et al are fun! I’m a fan… that said I have a few tips for folks to keep in mind to help lessen the load on the captains and coordinators. 🧵 First of all, we are here to picket. We can have fun while we are doing it but let’s remember why we’re here and to stay on message.

If your captains or coordinators ask you to do something or to help out, please do it.
