Last night, Christian Zionists from Candlelight Christian Fellowship conspired with Coeur d’Alene City Councilor Dan Gookin to use the CDA Police to stifle political dissent.

Independent voter Stefanie Fetzer allegedly created a fake event at Prairie Pavilion, while others distributed flyers to nearby food trucks warning that a podcast “which risks inciting harm by normalizing anti-Semitism, anti-American sentiment, and attacks on marginalized groups” was planning a “community meetup, bringing their own pizza and beer.”

The flyer further claimed that the podcast “functions as a radical call for exclusionary control and a rejection of democratic values.”

The purpose of the meetup was simply to gather with others who share similar conservative values, while also providing an opportunity to confront Dan Gookin—a candidate for CDA mayor—and Stefanie Fetzer, a prominent local Christian Zionist activist from Candlelight Christian Fellowship. Gookin and Fetzer were planning an “open forum–style discussion” at the Pavilion at 5:30 P.M.

The meetup was first announced by the podcast on Wednesday, October 22.

On Saturday, October 25, Scott Haug—a candidate for Post Falls mayor—was booked by Fetzer as a second speaker and told the event would be held at McKenzie River Pizza.

On Sunday, October 26, Fetzer released a flyer on Telegram promoting that Haug would join the meetup at Prairie Pavilion and take questions alongside Gookin.

Then, at 4 p.m. on Monday, Fetzer announced a venue change that had been planned two days earlier, allegedly due to a “great response” from locals and fears that they “wouldn’t have enough room” at the Prairie Pavilion.

Around the same time, someone distributed flyers to food trucks featuring out-of-context quotes, bold headings such as “Catholic = Antisemitic,” and accusations that the podcast spread “dangerous conspiracy theories.”

The podcast group arrived at the pavilion for their meetup at 5 P.M. Roughly 25–30 people attended, with about a dozen ordering food from local vendors around the pavilion.

At 5:30 P.M., several Coeur d’Alene police officers entered the pavilion, surrounded podcaster David Reilly, and asked whether anyone had distributed flyers “advertising a 5 P.M. gathering” at the food trucks.

At the same time, William Le, a former bass player at Candlelight Church, entered the room, filmed all attendees, and then left.

Police then informed everyone in the building—including several people unaffiliated with the podcast who were there specifically to meet with Dan Gookin—that they were being trespassed, claiming the group had “promoted pizza and beer.”

Attendees protested, noting that no pizza or beer was present and that most people had simply purchased food from the local trucks. Nevertheless, police ordered everyone to leave.

Officers then exited the building along with attendees and began photographing people’s cars and license plates.

Fifteen minutes after the meeting was dispersed, William Le, who had filmed attendees earlier, was photographed at McKenzie River Pizza sitting with Stefanie Fetzer, Dan Gookin, and several other prominent political Christian Zionists affiliated with Candlelight.

All of this was done to shield mayoral candidate Dan Gookin and activist Stefanie Fetzer from public questioning and community scrutiny.

This is a follow up to the post last week involving the attempt from a few select teachers at Eagle High School, proactively communicating with the Wassmuth Center to indoctrinate youth. I have conducted further record requests exposing a small network, pushing DEI on the students.

It appears the request to bring the Wassmuth Center to Eagle High is being largely pushed by STUCO, Eagle Student Council.
