People often talk about eating “everything in moderation.” What does that even mean? It doesn’t seem to mean including a wide variety of organs meats or unusual real foods. I’ve got some ideas about foods that should be eaten regularly. Let’s list some of them. How about liver, kidneys, heart, brains (not just for zombies!), tripe, gizzards, bone broths, bone marrow, testes (Rocky Mountain oysters), trotters, pig’s ears (not only when you mess stuff up), blood, tongue, oxtails, cheeks, chitterlings, heads (including fish)?

Anyone heard of alpha-mangostin before? It’s a compound produced by the plant grown for its fruit called mangosteen. I came across it looking for healing gels containing alginates. There’s research on an alginate/chitosan/alpha-mangostin in ethanol gel. mdpi-res.com/d_attachment/p… This gel healed mouth ulcers in rats faster than triamcinolone (steroid) gel did. So obviously, that sounded interesting to me. It turns out that there’s research on alpha-mangostin looking at its effects on many chronic modern illnesses associated with metabolic damage.

Been tumbling down the rabbit hole of fucoidan — a sulphated polysaccharide fiber derived from brown seaweeds. Loads of studies but mostly using cell lines and animals. However, results are astonishing. Seems to be the cure for everything short of death. Fucoidan upregulates PGC-1 alpha and sirtuins. This means it boosts mitochondrial health, boosts antioxidant production like glutathione, glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase, and catalase. And PGC-1 alpha stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis. So you make more mitochondria

Oxalates strongly attract and bind calcium. Oxalates are toxins that store in tissues. Heavy metals like gadolinium and lead mimic calcium. What if a proportion of retained gadolinium is bound to oxalates along with other heavy metals? To eliminate gadolinium, you’d also need to eliminate oxalates if gadolinium is bound up in oxalate crystals. And that means reducing your intake of high oxalate foods. But beware oxalate dumping as oxalates are mobilizing out of storage for elimination.
