Yenisms, circa 2016: I visit a Quant / Prop Firm that shall remain nameless, woman approaches me near the secretarial station up front, she looked important, so I said "you the UBoat captain here?" and she goes "i dont like you already"..(me) "Woman often have that reaction"
(cont) So i tour the prop desks, including the moment when the head of risk comes wandering over "you mister yen?" and I said "Did my blue sunglasses give it away?" (cont)

What is a "SWAP" when u are position scalping? Okay, lets say u have 5 lots at 5050, 5100, 5130, 5140, 5150..ur nervous, its getting to big..the market breaks to 5129, u close 1 lot, u made 21 ticks, now ur short from 5050, 5100, 5130, 5140 (cont)
Now brokerages use FIRST IN, FIRST OUT, so they closed ur 5050 short at 5129 for -79 loss, but on YOUR excel ledger, you closed it LAST IN, first out, so u made 21 ticks (cuz in ur mind you closed the 5150) This is doing "swaps", to reduce position size while u wait for breakdown

a thread about becoming a full time trader:
I would prefer you start young, when you dont have as much savings, because it is best to lose when u have the least at risk..(cont)
When ur 25 and have $4,000 that is not enuf to scalp and day trade stocks due to rules, but its plenty to get started in Futures and Forex..yes u will probably loose for a few years, but you are learning (cont)

Today we did an episode on my setup for day trading on tos...now lets look at the scalping set up in a series of tweets: 1) The chart is 160 tick (40 pts) of RANGE, so each footprint column is uniform. DELTA in each block, not volume, and DELTA summaries for each column at the bottom, including a running delta on the day. a custum tuned bollinger fibonacci band is overlaid on the delta columns

"which is harder, S&P or Nasdaq?"..tough question..Ok, so the S&P futures traders are far better, but also more predictable...the Nasdaq traders are mostly awful, but they are UN-predictable and move in waves..they are like locusts, they are everywhere..
(cont) SO, what i would say to a new trader is this: Given the nasdaq volatility is so much higher, you want to trade the nasdaq, more money, more movement, and, generally more stupidity and extremes, which are exploitable..

Been waiting long time to tell this story: I knew the people who were running facebook twitter and instagram, and their woke employees were corrupt, but I had followers in 143 countries under a different "hat" and brought in the ratings, so we tolerated each other (cont)
(cont) since i lived near delaware and was well connected I knew the Hunter Biden laptop fiasco was actually real..when the NY Post did a story about it, twitter suspended them...so i thought "ok, lets see if you want to suspend ME" (cont)
