Before and after war: The Ageing Soldier

1 face—4 years apart—aged 30 years.

What changed? Chronic stress collapsing his biology.

Stress isn’t some „woo-woo.”

It is a biological force driving ageing, degeneration, and disease at the cellular level.

A mini guide to stress🧵: Image What is stress?

Stress = A mismatch between the demands placed on the body by its environment and the energy it can produce to meet them.

When energy fails, function fails.

When function fails, structure collapses — cells, tissues, organs.

(Think: Skin issues, hair loss and thinning, gut inflammation, slowed wound healing, PMS, infertility, cancer metabolism, accelerated ageing, disease, all of the horrors of life.)Image

SKINCARE STARTS WITH BIOLOGY.

Glowing skin, strong nails, and luscious hair don't start with topicals.

(You can't out - moisturise terrible nourishment.)

These nutrients support skin, hair, and nail health from the inside out — by nourishing your cells, lowering stress hormones, and promoting tissue repair.

Let's go. 🧵Image

CHOLESTEROL

Cholesterol is the raw material for your steroid hormones — like progesterone, DHEA, and
pregnenolone — all crucial for beauty and youth.

Low cholesterol = low hormone production = dull skin, brittle nails, shedding hair.

Eat: pasture-raised egg yolks, butter, liver, full-fat dairy, shellfish, ribeye steak.

If you're on a lower-fat, higher-sugar diet, prawns are a cheat code — ultra low in fat, while relatively high in cholesterol!Image

You don’t have “acne-prone skin”; you have gut issues, a sluggish liver, poor thyroid function, and are a walking stress ball.

Here’s how to tackle ACNE without needing to visit a dermatologist (spoiler alert: they’ll most likely make things worse).

A GUIDE: for women & men🧵: Image This guide combines insights into gut health, inflammation, hormonal balance, and nutrition for addressing acne holistically.

By focusing on systemic health, this approach targets the root causes of acne, including hormonal imbalances, gut dysfunction, and chronic inflammation.

Bryan Johnson dismissed my critique of his protocol, claiming it’s baseless, as his biomarkers supposedly prove its effectiveness.

But do they really?

Let’s take a closer look 🧵: Image Biomarker 1: Low body temperature:

• Bryan’s dietary / supplementation and lifestyle choices have resulted in a reduction of his body temperature by 4°F over three years, bringing it to 94.8°F-classified as mild hypothermia.

• Low body temperature is a key indicator of reduced thyroid function and impaired energy production, suggesting that his body is in a hypometabolic state.

• From Ray Peat's perspective, an optimal body temperature (around
98.6°F) is crucial for enzymatic function, mitochondrial activity, and overall health. Lowering body temperature reduces metabolic rate, compromises cellular repair, and elevates stress hormones, promoting a state that is anti-longevity rather than pro-longevity.

ESTROGEN isn't the happy female hormone like they made you believe.

It is a SHOCK and TRAUMA hormone that screws up your life.

ESTROGEN DOMINANCE made my existence miserable.

As it does to MANY.

THREAD🧵on what I’ve learned & how I fixed it.

(A guide for women AND men). Image Estrogen dominance is a state where there is an excessive amount of estrogen in the body relative to other sex hormones, particularly progesterone.

This imbalance can occur due to various factors, including but not limited to, increased production of estrogen, decreased production of progesterone, or difficulties in metabolising and detoxifying estrogen in the liver.Image

There are many ways to increase METABOLISM.

Drinking coffee DAILY is one of them.

Here’s how to enjoy coffee without triggering a stress response / getting the jitters.

THREAD 🧵 + aesthetic coffee pics for your enjoyment. Image How Coffee Improves Oxidative Metabolism:

Coffee, primarily through its caffeine content, improves oxidative metabolism by several mechanisms:

1. Increased carbon dioxide production: Caffeine increases the oxidation of sugar, leading to higher production of carbon dioxide. This improves cellular respiration and overall metabolic efficiency.Image

METHYLENE BLUE is one of the best methods to completely **reverse skin aging** and you can make my simple age-reversing serum yourself (recipe below)! 💙💙💙

***Topical Methylene Blue:***

• boosts collagen production
• REVERSES skin cell aging
• reduces wrinkles
• protects against UV damage
• reduces oxidative stress
• prevents decay and death of skin cells
• facilitates wound healing
• boosts mitochondrial function

Truly magical and slept on! I’ve been mixing Meraki Methylene Blue with pure aloe vera, pouring it into a bottle with dropper & applying it to my skin every morning and using Meraki Moo METHYLENE infused tallow&coco balm at night to reverse skin aging for ~3 months now, and I’m thrilled with the results!

The sun / UV light doesn’t give you skin cancer. But seed oils do.

In this study mice that were fed corn oil (PUFA) got skin cancer, but those fed saturated fats were “almost completely protected” from it.

PUFA depletion + saturated fats in the diet = skin cancer doesn’t happen.Image

Ponder for a second: Isn't it a bit weird that the very conditions under which we evolved lead to a fatal disease? One might expect that some other variable would need to change for the sun to become toxic.
