NICE have today given an update on their evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of the modulator drugs Kaftrio, Orkambi and Symkevi. They have confirmed they are highly effective for people with cystic fibrosis, however, have judged that they are too expensive at the current price for them to recommend full access on the NHS. In response to @Jeremy_Hunt's #AutumnStatement, David Ramsden, Chief Executive of Cystic Fibrosis Trust, said: "Many people with #cysticfibrosis are in a desperate situation and face a very challenging winter."
