The Government aims to close all asylum hotels by 2029, but this will only be achievable if they are moved into HMOs, military barracks and social housing, which are more spread-out.

Today the ONS released migration estimates for the year-ending December 2025, with revisions going back to 2024.

This thread will contain charts showing net-migration, immigration and emigration for all nationalities, British nationals, EU nationals and non-EU nationals.

🧵 Net-migration has fallen substantially from the peak of 944,000 in YE March 2023.

Today the ONS released provisional data on births in England & Wales for Q1 2025.

There were 135,559 live births in England and 6,399 live births in Wales.

Applying the same methodology as outlined in my Pimlico article, 52.73% of births in the 1st quarter were White British. Image Here's the Pimlico article.
