Over 45,000 people a year die from guns a year. Over half die because of suicide. Over 19,000 die from homicides including mass shootings. Many proposals- background checks, insurance, age limits, red flag laws will only chip away at these numbers. 1 So when people such as GOP members say can’t do that because it won’t fix, they are right it won’t eliminate but that is not a reason to not chip away at the problem. We are 3 years in and have the next 11 months to change the course of our country, things have been this bad before even worse but now is our time. Here is my thread on 2020. Accompanying my points with a few #Postcardstovoters 1. The Demo in Democracy is people, that means you.
2. The Blue wave is people, each of our efforts matter.
3. Our democracy cannot depend on just one person being electable, it has to be many people being electable.
