Lost in the StayGold monomeric variants? Here's a thread to try to sort things out 🧵
In 2022, the Katayama/Miyawaki labs published StayGold, a bright and stable fluorescent protein (FP) from jellyfish C. Uchidae: @NatureBiotechnature.com/articles/s4158… The issue was that StayGold is dimeric and not easy to use as a fusion protein.
