Every time something horrendous happens in this city, our elected officials run to the nearest podium, camera and microphone with embroidered jackets and shirts (so you know they’re serious) but why don’t they keep that same energy day in and day out, esp when the cameras are off Of course many of them are doing the work daily without attention, but too many aren’t and only show up so they can say they were there.

Instead of blaming the grassroots for being outspoken and not “falling in line” maybe our elected officials and candidates should do better?
