The trial for Umar Zameer is finally beginning with crown and defence opening addresses this morning. The jury is about to arrive. Zameer, 34, is charged with the First Degree murder of Const Jeffrey Northrup, killed in the line of duty on July 2, 2021 @TorontoPolice In a nutshell, the crown tells the jury that Const. Northrup and his partner were investigating a stabbing in the underground of Nathan Phillips Square. When they go down to investigate, they see Zameer who is with his pregnant wife and 2 year old son. Officers decide to approach

#BREAKING A jury has found Peter Nygard guilty on 4 counts of sexual assault. Not guilty of 1 count of sexual assault and not guilty of forcible confinement No reaction from Mr Nygard. The jury has been discharged. Now setting a date for sentencing

There have been dozens of other accused appearing before him. No telling when the 20 year old will be up.

Outside the courthouse in Oshawa now where Justice Joseph Di Luca will be delivering his judgement in the Adam Strong murder trial at 9:30 am. It’s also being live streamed on YouTube. Will be live tweeting the verdict As well as being shown on zoom, There are 10 people allowed inside the courtroom where the judgement will be delivered. Adam Strong is in the prisoner’s box. And there is an overflow room that accommodates 60 people I’m told. I’m watching from the verdict from our live truck.
