In order to remain a #PeopleFirst Army, we must be honest about our past, understanding and reckoning with moments that have held us back. Changing posts named for Confederate leaders, many who never served in the U.S. Army, is an important step. 1/ While we do this, we need to educate ourselves about why these names came to be in the first place, and why it matters in the 21st century. 2/
