My wife and I decided to take a sabbatical year here in #PuertoRico so I could write a book, learn Spanish and enjoy the beach. We have two boys and when we looked for schools we were absolutely shocked at how far these local schools are behind. It's nearly a time capsule here. Because of this, it was an immediate call to action and service to the children of this island for us. Everyone here is an American, and many things in #PuertoRico are at an American standard (USPS, NPS, etc.) However, the schooling here is definitely NOT! It's nearly 3rd world.
