So this Mars rock of interest from sol 129 is quite special since it was ran over by the #PerseveranceRover. It was on purpose during a navigation technique and the rover is safe! Here’s a few more facts about rover navigation and this fascinating rock (1/5)
First, the rock by itself is fun to look at, dramatic and almost alien with the textures. Different from its finer grain surroundings. It also looks like the ridges were made by the wheels! But they were already there, and they’re sharper to the hypothetical touch than they look.

TIL that there’s a tiny piece of fabric installed on Ingenuity, the Mars Helicopter, that used to be a part of the original aircraft that the Wright Brothers used all those years ago. #Mars2020#IngenuityHelicopter
