It's time for another CROSSNIQ+ #y2kwednesday!

We're partnering with @y2k_aesthetic, the #1 spot in cyberspace for vintage y2k design, to take a look at some y2k design that inspired the look of CROSSNIQ+.

This week, the focus is Y2K MOTION GRAPHICS/CG! It's GIF time! The commercials, video logos, and music videos of the y2k era lavishly put y2k design principles into motion!

Since new tech was central to y2k, CG sets with live actors were popular, such as in this Sisqo Pepsi commercial.

Note the fashion and the blue/gray color palette!

Time for CROSSNIQ+ #y2kwednesday!

We're partnering with @y2k_aesthetic, the #1 spot in cyberspace for vintage y2k design, to take a look at how y2k inspired CROSSNIQ+

We've shared many inspirations... but what about the PHILOSOPHY of y2k?

Today's topic: what y2k means to us! OPTIMISM

y2k, born in the early .com era and fueled by the excitement around new compact communications tech, painted a future filled with possibilities to better the human experience and the world. Tech was seen as a liberator, both on a personal and a global scale.

This week's feature - Y2K-ERA VIDEO GAMES that inspired our own! Dance Dance Revolution (Konami)

A worldwide phenomenon, DDR needs no introduction!

For CROSSNIQ+, we took inspiration from the UI and transitions of 90's DDR games - they make menus, normally a chore, fun to navigate, and they're full of y2k flair like folder tabs and barcodes

Welcome to CROSSNIQ+ #y2kwednesday!

We're partnering with @y2k_aesthetic, the #1 spot in cyberspace for vintage y2k design, to take a look at some y2k design that inspired the look of CROSSNIQ+.

We're starting with one of the most famous faces of y2k - The Designers Republic! Founded in 1986 in Sheffield, TDR became one of the most recognizable design houses of the 1990s. Building their reputation by doing album art for groups like PWEI, Yellow Magic Orchestra, and LFO, they exploded internationally with their famous Emigre #29 magazine cover.

Over the next two weeks, we'll be introducing the game's eight playable characters! Today, we're starting with Skye and Rain! #CROSSNIQ+ CHARACTER FILE #1

Skye (they/them) is a friendly, mischievous young gearhead. Their DIY inventions can sometimes land them in trouble, but their best friend Rain always has their back.
