that he's seizing the opportunity to reach a massive audience that otherwise would not listen to anything he had to say? Bishop Barron goes on Reddit and has done AMAs. For all the talk of smelling of the sheep I don't think you can blast the bishop for actually getting to where people are and what they're listening to.

To my beloved @PressHerald,
While I love the idea of reader contributions of their memories of the 98 ice storm, the only person I want to hear from is Christopher Thomas Knight aka the North Pond Hermit. How in the h*ck did he not become a popsicle? @PressHerald (Not that I believe in manifesting things but this is me manifesting an interview bc I just want to know how that dude survived)

We were banned from having an indoor or outdoor funeral for my dad when there were 30 cases of COVID statewide and 10 people in the hospital. The last few years have been tough for everyone, I’ll agree. But it is absolutely not the end of the world to abstain from various activities involving extended bodily contact for a few weeks.

when did it hit you that life was never going to be normal again because a large number of people's brains had completely warped because for me it was October 5. I don't know if "nervous breakdown" is the proper term, but what really happened was "scream sobbing in my car in a parking lot at glen echo."

this is absolutely ridiculous. You only get one mother. how did we go from "war widows raising money for a suitable tombstone for a complete stranger who was fighting on the other side of the war and accidentally sent to the town" to "vote the way I want you to or you're no longer my parent" in less than 200 years

There’s 17 people statewide in the hospital and less than 1% of covid tests come back positive so naturally the state is shutting down again Keep up the 45 cycle PCR tho

We :) still :) aren’t :) allowed :) to :) have :) a :) funeral :) this :) size :) for :) my :) dad :) indoors :) or :) outdoors :) Here’s the relevant executive order. For everyone playing by the rules, you’re limited to 5 people per 1,000 square feet of outdoor space up to 100. Does the picture above look like they’re in compliance?

We were told we couldn’t have more than 10 people at an outdoor graveside service in Maine literally 10 days ago. People were afraid to come see my family. We couldn’t have the normal funeral/wake/grieving process. Maine Medical wouldn’t let my father, who was dying, have more than one visitor TO SAY GOODBYE until the organ donation people fought for us. They allowed up one more.

ATTN: Calling me fat (I'm aware I'm not thin, I own mirrors), and an old maid (I'm also aware, I own a calendar), or ugly (you're actually objectively wrong on this one) doesn't make anything better nor does it change the fact that, you know, I'd like a family one day. The majority of the men my age at my parish are either happily married, discerning the priesthood, or simply do not talk to women at events. Why *wouldn't* you sign up for something that purports to make an effort to pair people up?

unpopular opinion: the culture of "discernment" that permeates Catholic young adult circles is absolutely killing all forms of vocations God isn't going to walk by holding a giant sign that says "ASK HER OUT" or "JOIN THE PRIESTHOOD." Get off your ass and try it out and if it doesn't work, oh well.
