After listening to @AuronMacintyre & @JoelWBerry on Timcast, the difference between "constitutionalist" conservatives and the new right really boils down to the fact that the new right understands the mechanisms of politics, whereas the constitutional conservatives do not 🧵 Image

People like Joel Berry claim that there's a somewhat easy way back to a constitutional republic, but really their entire view of governance and politics are nothing more than carefully crafted propaganda pushed upon republicans in the 20th century.

The entire point of the term "woke right" was to shut down dissent, and excommunicate emergent right wing enemies.

James Lindsay overestimated how much influence he had and the only people that backed him were devout liberals who were never right wing to begin with. 1/🧵 Image There were many boilerplate conservatives that backed Lindsay out of pure ignorance. It's okay, some people make mistake, but the talking heads that pushed it drew the same friend enemy distinction they claimed was evil. 2/

The 2010 church designed to pander to millennials has nothing to offer men.

They expect you to marry a former prostitute and likely be divorced, cheated on, and disrespected.

They have women embrace feminism but "biblically" so they feel good. This is the therapeutic gospel.🧵 They do all of this under the veil of a biblical technicality that would not apply to 99.99% of real world cases. It's not about wise advice, it is consistently about appeasing women and humiliating men.

I want to bridge the gap between Boomers and Young people.

Young people are frustrated because inflation is significantly under reported by CPI and if you don't own assets, you are getting crushed. Over the past 10 years, inflation is close to 100%, not 31% like CPI says🧵 Image Over the past 10 years, CPI sets inflation at about 31%, in reality it is probably closer to 70-100%. This is because CPI has a few critical flaws in it:

A few thoughts on the Jubilee video that just dropped. I think this video is a good example of why rightwing rhetoric online doesn't always translate well to debates, the normiesphere, or many elite circles. 🧵 Image I'll start off by saying this is not any attack on anyone in the video, and I haven't watched it entirely. I'm sure many of the participants are frens. My main point is that you have to know your audience and what you are trying to achieve.

Rambo 4 is actually an incredible movie that shows just how disconnected Westerns are from understanding foreign cultures. 🧵 Image The movie starts off with some optimistic Christian aid workers who want to save a village in Burma from the brutal dictator/military force occupying the region.

How discounted cash flow analysis and time value of money has destroyed America's long term decision making.

TLDR, the value of cash 20 years or more in the future is treated as almost worthless so we never invest in critical civilizational projects. 🧵 Image First, what is discounted cash flow analysis and how does it work?

Discounted cash flow analysis helps companies/investors figure out what an investment is worth today based on how much money it’s expected to make in the future.

Why I left libertarianism 🧵

TLDR: Libertarians have no understanding of power, human nature, or politics.

In 2017 I considered myself a libertarian, but I correctly recognized only a particular type of society could be libertarian, which is what unraveled the whole thing.... Image I had never been a "Gary Johnson libertarian" and I always saw the need for a strong social sphere that allow people to self govern where there was an absence of government. When I started talking about this in 2017, BOY, the libertarians did NOT like that.

If successful, DOGE will be the first time US spending is reigned in over the past 30 years. Long term treasury rates are largerly determined by faith in America's ability to pay its debt, but there is potential trap here rightwing influencers must understand immediately🧵 1/ Image The faith in America's ability to pay it's debt is not the only factor. Long term inflation expectations and growth rates also play a critical role in interest rates. America was set to have an inflation resurgence, before any of Trump's policies were enacted. 2/

With today's ridiculous dating standards, I've created a thread to show women what the average man really wants: Image

I can't hold my tongue any longer. It's not about @calvinrobinson or @rightresponsem, or even about theology. Doug Wilson, James White are being absolute children without wisdom. The people around them clearly cannot rebuke their foolishness without being crushed. 1/ This is the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. They cannot go a single day without flipping out about Joel Webbon. They could stop this petulant freakout tomorrow and the entire controversy would end. But they selfishly want to make this about them and crush everyone else. 2/

If pastors continue to oppose the men in their church that approach political issues like our Christian forefathers, the right wing movement will continue to become more and more pagan.

Thread: Image This pagan drift seems to be the primary concern of many public pastors and yet their actions will guarantee this drift continues unless they change course immediately. Let me explain:

Abolitionists are using a debate club strategy. They have no plan to win or even create an environment where winning is possible.

BUT, every outcome will make them "right". Trump wins & doesn't implement 100% ban? "We knew it" he loses, "it's because of his abortion position"🧵 They will feel right no matter what they do because they are operating as fundamentalist ideologues in debate club, whether they realize it or not. This is a self reinforcing behavior that is counter productive because it ignores practical steps to winning as "tainted and evil"

I’ll never forget the anti-bullying assembly I went to in Elementary school.

I was one of the first generations to go through the wave of anti-bullying campaigns. It contains important political lessons about incentive structures. 🧵 1/11 Image "Bullying" was talked about frequently during my entire time in school. There were signs, videos, slogans, and various forms of propaganda that actively discouraged bullying. In fact, they went as far as giving those who had been bullied special status as victims. 2/11

One of the biggest functional divides between the left & right is the idea of generational wealth

For 50 years, the right has thought it virtuous to leave their kids nothing while upper middle class liberals have moved mountains to give their kids get an inheritance 🧵 1/8 This flawed thinking has resulted in the left having more political power via patronage networks and the financial resources to install their far left children in positions of political power. 2/8

The fatal flaw with libertarianism is that it banks on government being shrunk to point where any hostile takeover would be ineffective.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of power dynamics. Vacuums will always be filled, maybe not immediately, but eventually... 🧵 1/6 Image I naively held this view when I was a Libertarian. I believed if we shrink the government and the left takes control, it wouldn't matter as long as we maintained a healthy social environment.

The problem is the left destroys the social environment as a means to gain power. 2/6

General speaking, I think Christians are extremely gullible because they come from high trust communities. 🧵 1/10 Image We all know that Christian grandma who got taken advantage of by a life insurance salesman or family member. I think this trust comes from a good place. In a high trust community, we should afford eachother trust by default, but... 2/10
