Student protestors: YOU NEED TO HAVE A PLAN FOR AFTER GRADUATION. NOW. If colleges were smart, and had tolerance for dissent, they’d let you all be defeated by time. Graduation happens, you have to go home or even want to, some folks stay but they can arrest those smaller numbers and they don’t have to deal with anything until the fall.

1) Steal the shields. They’re tools you can use and cops aren’t usually sure what to do when they’re pulled by them.
2) Practice chants that synchronize movement. In DC on D12 we pushed the cops out of George Floyd Plaza with a wall of shields.

Mental health professional CTJBGC member here, and we need to have a talk about “mental illness” in the context of Jordan Neely. So here’s a 🧵 Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, from communists to liberals to conservatives and so called moderates have covered this story by noting that Jordan was in a “mental health crisis” or “mentally ill.” What evidence do we have of this?

We got tagged and alerted to this but wanted to dig a bit first. The ending is that all but one child was released to their care givers after an hour of being held without cause by cops. It’s unknown the status of the child that was held longer at this time.

This is actually not meaningful escalation; Texas and Florida both have laws allowing the state to kidnap trans children. What this is should be a redrawing of the battle lines. The legislature is lost to us, and your choice to walk in knowing you can’t win endangers your child.
