This brand is of Manu Sharma, the guy who killed Jessica Lal only because she refused him a drink after the bar was closed. He was given a sentence only after massive protests but then was 80% of the time out on bail during his term, got married, had kids, celebrated all festivals and had his sentence reduced for 'good conduct' while entire family of Jessica Lal suffered and died. Almost as if trolling Jessica n the society, he opened a liquor company (having denied the drink back then).
Now no one cares what he did, the elites have not just accepted him back in the system but in order to seal his place also awarded his brand 'Indri' as the best rum. That's how they reward their own.
It's a shame to see handles specially so called nationalist handles, promoting a criminal's liquor brand like this. PS. To whitewash his name in media and society at large, he formally changed his name to Siddhartha Sharma from Manu Sharma.

We turned importer of corn for the first time last yr. India used to export corn till 2023. In 2024, we became a net importer and have started importing poor quality corn from US for ethanol. Saving dollars in peto but giving them back in importing corn and other substandard crops that US can't consume due to low quality.

A mom's classmates daughter did her engg from SRM college, Chennai. Topped the univ and joined ISRO. Got fed up in 4+ yrs- as a north Indian they kind of shunted her out, but there were some good souls that made her feel welcomed, so she continued. All her SC/ST batch mates got promoted due to reservations (twice). That frustrated her to no end. She quit and went to US. Did her masters, then PhD in Hypersonic flights. Has done internship in Lockheed Martin and Saffran. Now doing double doctorate in missile tech (don't know exact). Will join some big defence firm shortly.
That's how you lose talent. And our ministers dare ask why talent doesn't stay in India and join ISRO and DRDO. Reservations also happen in many ways - projects, assignments and credit for work. There are many ways to pull a meritorious GC student down.

Last week when I went to our temple...a group of kids (most girls between 8-12) were found stealing money and other offerings from the temple. There are donor boxes/ hundis but many people keep outside as money in the donor box is taxable. These kids spoke Bengali mixed with Hindi.
They also gather outside temples (along with thr mothers) begging and harassing all temple goers. People often bring stuff to donate but these people start snatching the moment someone starts distributing so ppl have decreased donations.
