Last week when I went to our temple...a group of kids (most girls between 8-12) were found stealing money and other offerings from the temple. There are donor boxes/ hundis but many people keep outside as money in the donor box is taxable.
These kids spoke Bengali mixed with Hindi.
They also gather outside temples (along with thr mothers) begging and harassing all temple goers. People often bring stuff to donate but these people start snatching the moment someone starts distributing so ppl have decreased donations.
