Moisture retention is a myth. If moisture is water and water evaporates, you can’t retain it. Soooo…. What can you do? You replace it. How do you replace it? Wash your hair. (1) I know what you’re thinking. “Oils and creams help retain moisture!” No they don’t. Oils and creams build up, attract dirt, and make it difficult for water (true moisture) from penetrating INTO (not sitting on top of) the hair. Using a spray bottle after setting doesn’t work (2)
